Wheel for the Wild: A Mountain Biking & Truck Camper Story from Colorado’s High Country

What happens when you combine remote trails, a Scout camper, and a couple who lives for mountain air and big views?

In our newest short film, Wheel for the Wild, we follow Jess and Doug as they head into Colorado’s high country with their Toyota Tundra and Scout Yoho camper. Outfitted by Juniper Overland, their rig becomes more than just a mode of transportation—it’s a mobile basecamp for early morning starts, quiet tailgate moments, and long, dusty rides into the backcountry.

This story isn’t about going fast. It’s about going far. And doing it together.

Filmed near Nederland, Colorado, the film captures the rhythm of modern adventure: wake up with the wind in the trees, prep gear at your own pace, and let the trails decide how the day unfolds. With Doug’s full-time remote work and Jess’s passion for mountain sports, their Scout camper gives them the freedom to chase powder in the winter and singletrack in the summer—without compromising comfort or capability.

“We did all the upgrades with intention,” Doug says. “Everything in our camper has a purpose. It’s our home base—on wheels.”

The video brings you inside that experience, showing the balance between grit and ease, structure and spontaneity. From trailhead meals to high-alpine pedaling, Wheel for the Wild is a look at what life feels like when your truck and camper are built to support the way you actually move.

Whether you're dreaming about your first truck camper setup or you’ve already spent seasons chasing trailheads, this film reminds us why we do it: not to escape life, but to meet it where it’s wild, dusty, and real.
